Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the Tease from Tennessee, the Queen of Pin-Ups, the Queen of Curves, the Dark Angel, the one and only Bettie Page! Bettie Page was one of the most famous pin-up models of the 1950s and the first well-known bondage model. After a decade-long successful career, she disappeared from the limelight and rumours abounded as to the reason why. This film looks at what happened to Bettie in later life including her conversion to born-again Christianity and her mental health struggles. The documentary is narrated by Bettie herself and uses audio taken from interviews with Page before her death, and also includes interviews with Hugh Hefner and Bettie’s biggest fan, Dita Von Teese. It’s released soon and looks like one to watch.
