Jonathan Adler is an American potter, designer and author who is very well known in the US for his range of homewares. (Adler is also husband to the very chic and funny Simon Doonan, Creative Ambassador-at-Large of Barney’s, and if you think their homes are bound to be stunning, you’re right! Check them out on the Coveteur and on Architectural Digest.)
I adore Adler’s homewares and often browse the UK site. There’s everything from graphic bedding to zingy ceramics and bold furniture. I particularly love some of his cushions (or throw pillows as they call them Stateside) which have tongue in cheek designs with luxurious detailing. They’re adorned with everything from horoscope signs, the seven deadly sins, Chaplin’s face, various upscale cities, and sports cars. A few of my favourites are below (some linking to the US site as they’re not available on the UK store).
Jonathan Adler’s designs are available from his UK store and there’s a teeny range in-store at Brown Thomas.
