Danny Brown – Grown Up

I have been playing more and more hip hop in my DJ sets recently and it’s been going down really well. Old school tunes like No Diggety and O.P.P. never fail to fill the dancefloor. Danny Brown’s acclaimed album XXX came out last year and I was fascinated by his life story and tunes. As a result of his mother reading him Dr. Seuss books and his father being a DJ, Danny’s talent for rhyme and music was encouraged from a young age and Danny knew he wanted to be a rapper from the time he was in kindergarten.

Grown Up is a great tune with a distinctly Cypress Hill feel and the video, starring nine-year-old actor Dante Hoagland, is genius!
