For anyone thinking of taking a trip to Dublin, here’s a great video which shows why Dubliners like me love their home town and why tourists fall in love with it too. My reasons for loving Dublin would include: the way we all thank the bus driver when we disembark; everything about Ranelagh; the Iveagh Gardens and the Memorial Gardens; and of course the craic.

I know! With all the doom and gloom in this country it’s nice to see a celebration of the good things.
Cheers for sharing, even though I’m a lily white watching it is making me home sick, roll on 6 wks when I’m next home and I am adding a trip to the Iveagh Gardens to my list of things to do. What I love most about Dublin is the banter and character, it’s something you take for granted but living in Toronto I now see why tourists love our “cute” shop fronts, cobbled streets and pubs. Oh and you are dead right thanking the bus driver is very important! 😉
Toronto is such a beautiful city. I’ve only been there once but loved it. I hope you enjoy your trip home!
