When Sarah from The Licentiate asked for contributors to do guest posts on her blog last week, I gladly volunteered my services. I have been a longtime fan of The Licentiate – “a style in culture blog” as the strapline says – and Sarah’s postings on books, fashion and film are always intelligent and interesting, much like the lady herself! I recently caught up with Sarah at the Dublin Festival of Fashion when we both spoke on the Blogger’s Panel and I loved her insights into blogging and her droll sense of humour.
Sarah’s brief was “pick a book, magazine, film or photographic series that you admire or that inspires you in terms of fashion and style.” I chose to write about a particular British Vogue issue from way back in 1992. My post was featured last Saturday and you can read it here.
