Laura Laine is an illustrator based in Helsinki. I had seen her work on the Kitsune Noir Desktop Wallpaper Project (check it out if you haven’t already) and went to check out her own site. Laura studied fashion design at University of Art and Design Helsinki and now works full-time as a freelance illustrator and also teaches fashion illustration at the university. Her recent clients include Vogue Nippon, GAP, I.T. store, Elle, Zara, Telegraph, Rad Hourani, The New York Times T magazine, Tommy Hilfiger, Muse magazine, The Guardian, I.T. Post magazine, Iben Hoej, and Daniel Palillo. She has also exhibited in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
I love Laura’s work and hopefully someday I’ll have the money to invest in one of her original illustrations. I love her feminine aesthetic and the playful and clever way she integrates illustration into a fashion editorial.
