I’m sure many of you are familiar with the work of Allie Brosh, creator of Hyperbole and a Half, but just in case I have readers that have never seen her site I thought I’d brighten up your Friday (if not your entire life) by introducing you to her genius.
Hyperbole and a Half is an online comic which Allie writes and draws using Paintbrush. She usually creates posts about her life or her childhood. Here is Allie as a child having just discovered the wonders of cake:
Sometimes she posts about her retarded dog:
And sometimes she creates random posts, say for example about her frustration with other people’s bad grammar:
Sometimes she even posts videos:
Some of my favourite posts include her wish neuroses, how a fish almost destroyed her childhood and how Kenny Loggins ruined Christmas. Oh and let’s not forget Spaghatta Nadle.
I could witter on ecstatically for aaaaages about how funny Allie is, how creative and how unique her world vision is, and how she’s created one of the best things on the Internet like ever! But really you should just go and visit her site and see for yourself.
You’re welcome.
I love “Hypberbole and a Half”! Thanks for writing a blog about her…she deserves all the hype she gets 🙂
I’d have to say my favorite posts by her are “A Better Pain Chart” and the Spaghatta Nadle cartoons.
Spaghatta Nadle is ahmahzing!
I truly hope she gets a book deal if she doesn’t already have one.
Agreed!
Thanks for the introduction, I checked out her site and it did brighten up my afternoon. Funny lady
Glad I’m spreading the word! She’s brilliant.
