On the way to Monaco. Looks like a summer's day but it was January!

A couple of pics from this past week in France. Dad and I stayed in Antibes and did a lot of driving, including trips to Grasse, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Mougins and Juan les Pins. I have been to Paris many times and adored it, but have never been to the South of France before. It was a brilliant holiday, my Dad being fabulous company as always, and the weather was much warmer and sunnier than Ireland. We enjoyed delicious food including this restaurant in Antibes run by the most hospitable and helpful woman called Barbara and her husband Jeff – the excellent food alone makes it well worth a visit.

Dad and I discovered Mougins while we were away. I’m now nurturing fantasies of escaping there for a month and writing. It’s deserving of its own post which will be up next week.

Au revoir!
