Clothes on Film

Clothes on Film is a favourite blog of mine. The authors post detailed breakdowns and analysis of costuming in movies both classic and new. I first found it when searching for details on Delia Deetz’s clothes in Beetlejuice. She would be a perfect costume for Halloween I think.

The authors of the blog cover such fashion forward characters such as Tony Manero, Rizzo, and Margot Tenenbaum. There are lots of characters I would love to see featured, such as Penny Lane;

Kate Hudson as Penny Lane in Almost Famous

the ladies from Kill Bill;

Lucy Liu as O-Ren Ishii and Uma Thurman as Beatrix Kiddo in Kill Bill

Miss G from Cracks;

Eva Green as Miss G in Cracks
And, the character that made me buy purple eyeshadow hours after I saw the movie so I could emulate her look, Marla Singer;

Helena Bonham Carter as Marla Singer in Fight Club

  1. I love Eva in Cracks! It’s such a great movie too!
    Is it rude for me to ask if I could get an invite from you to the fashionspot?
    Or do you only give it to ppl you know fairly well?
    I would really appreciate it if so:)
    But would understand if not….

    Take Care!
