I love Ann-Sofie Back‘s design aesthetic and already own one of her dresses – a slashed punk-inspired purple jersey dress which I bought last winter. When I received her lookbook for SS2011 I was interested to see that she seems to have gone in a slightly different direction – more sleek, detailed and tailored with the emphasis on a very simple black and white colour palette. I love monochrome and good tailoring. I think tailoring is the one area where you really see the difference the more money you spend. Cheap clothes just don’t fit properly. They can be fun or fashion forward but they never fit as well and it shows.
Anyway, back to Ms Back and her collection. There are lots of pieces that I love especially the accessories – the bag, shoes, sunglasses and ring are stunning.
