IMPAC longlist announced

The world’s richest literary award today announced the longlist for the 2011 prize. The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award is worth €100,000 to the lucky winner and is voted for by readers in libraries worldwide. The longlist contains 163 titles this year and there are four Irish contenders; Colum McCann for Let The Great World Spin, Colm Tóibín for Brooklyn, William Trevor for Love and Summer, and Peter Murphy for John The Revelator. The shortlist will be announced next April and the winner will be revealed in June. Best of luck to all our Irish contenders!
