Monster Truck moves to Temple Bar

Monster Truck is moving its exhibition space to 4 Temple Bar (formerly the Original Print Gallery premises) and it launches tonight from 6-8 pm.  The first exhibition in the space is a group exhibition entitled “The Sound-Sweep” which brings together three artists whose works explore the physical materiality of sound.

For over three years, Monster Truck has been based on Francis street in Dublin 8, where its gallery and artists’ studios have hosted hundreds of graduate and emerging artists, providing them with space to work and exhibit. The new gallery will be dedicated to maintaining and developing all the good things the team have been working away on at Francis Street and will remain a place for the art community and public alike to share and enjoy. Monster Truck will continue to showcase young and emerging artists throughout its 2010 exhibition programme, many of whom were selected from an open call in 2009, mixed with shorter art events, talks and music nights.

Monster Truck has been an integral and exciting part of the Dublin art scene for the last few years and this move to Temple Bar is hopefully indicative of bigger and better things to come.
