Last year I was rather shocked when a friend of mine, who is always in the know about beauty and make-up and always has flawless skin, revealed one of her skincare secrets. It seemed a bit like a joke and I wondered how useful it could really be. Given the fact that the product is under a tenner, I decided to try it for myself and I’m now such a convert that I’m passing it onto you.
The product in question?
Yes, Bepanthen. OK I know it’s a nappy rash cream designed for babies bums but it is also one of the best moisturisers I have ever used! Apparently tattoo artists have been recommending this to the newly inked for ages as it is a great skin healer. It contains dexpanthenol, pro vitamin B5 and lanolin, all moisturising ingredients that are suitable for even the most sensitive skin.
I don’t use it every day. Instead I use it as a twice weekly treatment before I go to bed. It has a fairly thick consistency (therefore not suitable for under make-up) but it doesn’t seem to block pores or cause breakouts, even on my oily skin. In the morning you wake up with baby soft clear skin that has to be experienced to be believed.
So get yourselves to Tesco and pick up a tube. It’s so cheap that you can experiment with it and if you don’t like it, no harm done to your wallet!

Do let me know how you get on. I honestly think you can see results after one day. And if you have dry skin in this weather it could be a lifesaver!

Took your advice and tried this out. It’s amazing! Really does work and leaves skin beautifully soft. And at €3.60 for the small tube it’s worth trying out anyway! Thanking you!!
