The video below shows the painstaking process of creating a floral wonderland which provided the backdrop to the Dior Haute Couture Autumn Winter 2012 show. The show marked the debut of Raf Simmons, who is taking the reins of Dior after John Galliano’s very public racist rant and subsequent dismissal from the house after fifteen years at the helm. Dior is known for extravagant shows that have more in common with theatre rather than a standard runway offering and the Autumn Winter 2012 collection was shown in Paris in a series of rooms wallpapered with a million real flowers. The installation took three days to create and the result is magical.
